Wasabi is one of the most mysterious, misunderstood, and magical rhizomes out there—grown in very few places outside of Japan because it needs pristine water, cool temps, and just the right balance of sunlight. This sounds a whole lot like Oregon. Enter Oregon Coast Wasabi, growing the real deal here since 2010 and proving that Oregon’s climate and Portland’s creativity is a perfect match. Wasabi isn’t just spicy—it’s fresh, complex, and wildly versatile in ways most people never expect. That sense of surprise is exactly what we love.
And saké? It belongs at the party. Like wasabi, saké has deep roots in Japanese tradition and a thriving home in Oregon. SakéOne connected with Oregon Coast Wasabi through a shared passion for ingredients that are often boxed into one role—but shine when given room to play. Together, they represent craftsmanship, experimentation, and possibility. WasabiFest is our celebration of creativity, optimism, and determination, told through bold flavors, unexpected pairings, and a little bit of heat.
